North Carolina State-lovin’ Sara Sessions, a rising sophomore at East Columbus Junior-Senior High School, has her eyes set on attending NCSU to major in engineering.

The 15-year-old daughter of Scott and Amy Sessions is involved in numerous activities including: playing softball and tennis, serving as the sentinel for East’s FFA chapter and being a writer on the Gator Media staff.

Her favorite teachers include Alicia Pickett because, “she’s super understanding and will always be there for you when you need her;” Bryan Fowler, because, “he knows how to make class fun and can explain the things he’s teaching really well;” and  Brittany Edwards because, “She’s good at teaching and can help you better understand the material.”

Outside of school, Sessions can be found participating in various activities with her youth group at Lake Waccamaw United Methodist Church, hanging out with her friends and family, and going to the lake.

Some day, Sessions hopes to visit Hawaii, Greece and revisit Costa Rica.

One thing she would like to change about East is the school food.

Ten years from now, she hopes to be happy in a successful career.
