March 18 Principal’s Message
ECHS Families and Community Members,
Thank you to all students and families that have picked up student work packets or begun working on assignments in Google Classroom. If your student has not picked up assignment packs yet, they still can on Thursday from 8:30 to 3:30 and on Friday from 8:30 to 12:30. It is imperative that assignments are picked up and completed. Packets will count as a grade and failure to complete assignments will have an impact on the student’s final average. If you or your student cannot pick up assignments during this time, please contact the school at 910.646.4094 to make other arrangements to pick up assignments. Most assignments will not be due until the week of March 30th, so please stop by and pick them up.
Students should also be checking their student email during this time. Teachers have been working vigorously to create Google Classrooms and information is contained in their emails. If you are having problems logging in, please contact the school. Assignments in Goggle Classroom must be completed and turned in for grading.
A lot of uncertainty lies ahead for both students and staff. As we approach March 30th, we will continue to update our families on what’s next. However, I want to emphasize that school and learning has not stopped, it looks different and may look different moving forward. The expectation is that students continue the learning process, no matter what it looks like, and complete assignments, assessments, and projects as directed and turn them in for a grade. This includes assignment packs available now and in the future. If you or your student has questions or need assistance, please email Mr. Johnson at email@example.com. In the event we transition to completely online learning for a period of time, ECHS will make Chromebooks available for checkout beginning on Monday, March 30th.
As a reminder, breakfast (8:00-11:00) and lunch (11:00-1:00) are available for students to pick up if needed. Also, Spring Break is next week. We encourage students to relax and prepare during this time.
Thanks and have a great evening.
