Available Scholarships

Students are encouraged to speak to Mrs. Stubbs about any questions related to scholarships or who need help applying. Students are also encouraged to have Mrs. Stubbs and an English teacher review their scholarship packets prior to submitting their finalized applications.

Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans Scholarship

This scholarship provides financial assistance to students who have significant financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Due October 25

Greenhouse Scholar

A scholarship program looking for high-performing, under-resourced students who have already demonstrated true leadership and positive community contributions. Applicants must have an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above and be living in a household where the income is no greater than $70,000. Scholarship awards can range based on need with a maximum of $5,000 per year and $20,000 for the four years of school.

2019 Most Valuable Student Scholarship

This is a national scholarship with awards ranging from $2,000 to $100,000. Students who are involved in a variety of extracurriculars and have maintained good academic standing throughout their high school career are encouraged to apply. 

*Students who apply for this national scholarship will automatically be placed in the running for our local Elk’s Lodge $1,000 Scholarship.

Prudential Spirit of Community Scholarship

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the United States’ largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service.

Created in 1995 by Prudential and the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), the program honors middle level and high school students for outstanding service to others at the local, state and national level. State Honorees receive $1,000, engraved silver medallions, and an all-expense paid trip with a parent to Washington, D.C.

Thus far, it has recognized more than 125,000 young people who’ve made a difference – and inspired countless others to consider how they might contribute to their communities.

Elk's Nursing Scholarship

Application only available in Mrs. Stubbs’ office. She will explain the application process to you and provide you with a hardcopy of the application. You will want to begin applying ASAP as this application is extensive. Scholarship awards are $1,000.
