Scholarships Available

The Walter & Marie Williams Leadership Award Program – Due: Jan. 31

$1,000 Scholarship. Scholarship Criteria and Eligibility: Must be accepted to attend East Carolina University as a first-year student in the Fall semester, Minimum 3.0 high school GPA, unweighted, minimum score of 1000 on the Math and Verbal sections of the SAT or equivalent ACT score, Must be from Eastern North Carolina, and Full participation in the Williams Leadership Award Program including monthly (fall)/bi-monthly (spring) meetings, spring service project coordinated by scholarship recipients, and other events as scheduled.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship – Due: Feb. 1

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship was established in 1992 by the NC Association of Educators Minority Affairs Commission. It is in partnership with the NC Foundation for Public school Children. The scholarship amount awarded is based on the donations the program receives annually.

Applications are available in Mrs. Stubbs’ office.

FFA Scholarship – Due: Feb. 6

$1,500 Any senior who is planning to earn a degree in agriculture, engineering, animal science, food service/hospitality, public relations, turf grass, welding, etc., is eligible for this scholarship. You do not have to be an FFA member to apply.
