Brad Paisley, along with opening acts Dan Tyminski and Kane Brown, recently came to the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek in Raleigh.
The gates opened at 7 p.m. on Aug. 24 and the concert began at 30 minutes later.
My sister, mother and I attended the concert together.
We purchased seats at a decent price that were not too far away from the stage.
Tyminski, the opener, came out onto the stage at 7:30 and played until 8.
Although I didn’t know many of his songs, he still put on a good show and made sure the crowd was involved at all times.
It was my sister’s idea to go to this concert because of Brown, the other opener, who is one of her all-time favorite country artists.
He came out at 8:30 and played until 9:30.
Brown put on a great show and I loved to sing along to all of his songs and watch him perform. Paisley came out on stage at around 9:45. He sang many of his hit songs such as “Remind Me,” “She’s Everything” and “I’m Gonna Miss Her.”
The show he put on was unlike any other I had seen. He left the stage and walked down the aisles among those who had purchased seat tickets.
He even came within three feet of us and and gave us all “high fives.”
Paisley not only sang his hit songs, he threw some jokes into his performance.
After finishing one of his songs, he randomly sang the Nationwide slogan, just like he does on the commercials.
Paisley left the stage at 11 p.m., the time when the city’s sound ordinance kicks in.
Overall the concert was very exciting and had a lot of crowd participation.
The only thing I have to complain about is the price of food. One baked pretzel is $5 and a can of soda is $4.
It costs $11 just to get a hot dog with a side of fries.
Also, of course, the merchandise such as shirts and hats, was expensive. Some T-shirts were up to $40 each. Other than some of the prices, we had a wonderful time at this concert and enjoyed ourselves very much.
